Shawn T. Brown

Shawn T Brown began his career as a Commodities Broker at a firm in Garden City, KS before advancing to the Kansas Board of Trade. The insights and skills he gained in commodities trading fueled his entrepreneurial drive, leading him to build a diverse portfolio of successful ventures across multiple industries. In the mortgage banking sector, Shawn quickly ascended to become a branch owner of a federally chartered bank. His entrepreneurial pursuits expanded further to include ownership of a title company, an appraisal firm, an extermination company, and the popular 810 Zone on the Plaza sports bar. Additionally, Shawn co-founded Kennison Brown Real Estate Company, recognized as *The Official Real Estate Company of the KC Chiefs, alongside his business partner Eddie Kennison, a 13-year NFL veteran. Following the 2008 recession and the unexpected passing of his father, Shawn pivoted into the Financial Services and Insurance industry. He launched his new career with Farm Bureau Financial Services, where he led the Phoenix, AZ market in total life sales as a rookie. His outstanding performance earned him Rookie of the Year honors, along with All American and Super All American awards, surpassing MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) requirements. Building on this momentum, Shawn established his own independent agency before being recruited by State Farm, where he opened a scratch agency in the Phoenix Metro area. However, seeking a better fit for his long-term goals, Shawn transitioned into financial services, acquiring his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. Shawn’s next move took him to Mass Mutual in Phoenix as a Sales Manager, where he excelled in both recruiting and sales. His success led to his recruitment as Managing Director of National Financial Services Group in Dunwoody, GA, where he served as Managing Director/Interim General Agent for two years, leading teams and driving business growth. After several years in leadership roles as a registered representative, Shawn returned to his roots in the insurance industry with American Family Insurance in 2020-2025. In April of 2025 Shawn along with his wife Jennifer purchased their own Goosehead Franchise, Brown & Brown Insurance Agency. Today, as an agency owner, he continues to deliver exceptional service and trusted insurance solutions to his clients. Shawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.
